If you wanna hear some really swinging tuba work, listen to some of Bob 
Scobey's recordings from the 1950s.  He often had a bass & tuba with either 
Rich Madison or Bob Short playing the tuba.

He also had Clancy Hayes on a 6-string banjo.  A little different then the 
normal 2-beat tuba banjo sound.
