[Dixielandjazz] Mixed Race Recording/Jamming

This is more honestly an unsolicited plug for Dennis Owsley's new book,  
"City of Gabriels" which was one of my Christmas gifts to myself.  I  believe it 
has already been mentioned here before.  I, too, am finding it  a very 
interesting, readable, history of jazz in St. Louis 1895 - 1973 with  neat photos.  I 
have only just began to read but Owsley is presenting  instances such as he 
can document of black/white recording and unofficial  jamming in the 1920's.  
Documented by recording, names of the individuals,  place of the jams, etc.
