You are perceptive, Steve. You caught the tongue in cheek tenor of the post
and the reference to what Woody Allen is attempting to do. He is not trying
to be a Benny Goodman or Artie Shaw clone. He is trying to play "folk music"
jazz, or what many call "Uptown New Orleans", played by untrained musicians.
The earliest form of Jazz?
