Bob Ringwald will say, "I told you so", but apparently my email on the
OTHER Nichols clips on YouTube went un-noticed by some at least. Gary
Kiser, who should know because he played with Rosy in later years at
Sterlings Steak House in Santa Monica, Ca, commented in the last digest
again on the ORIGINAL clip mentioned on the DJML and not on the one I
questioned that is ALSO on YouTube.com.

Dan Levinson, who knows as much about Rosy McHargue (right spelling
according to Gary) as anyone in the world today, confirmed that on this
other medley clip, made around 1950 he believes, indeed it was Rosy on
clarinet. Dan has this clip and another one on some DVD already.

Those who did not have the pleasure of knowing and hearing Rosy in his
later years playing his C Melody Sax and singing songs that some of the
"newer" trad musicians are discovering again (Like "C U B A" and "My
Canary Has Circles Under His Eyes" etc., really missed something!

He died at close to 100 still playing and singing despite having
Parkinsons or a similar disease for many years. As soon as he started
playing his sax his hands went rock solid. Playing on "automatic" by
professional musicians has been mentioned recently on this list. Rosy
was a prime example of someone doing just that.

Indeed as one of the posters said at least, it is great seeing these
musicians in their "hay-day". I think most of you have now figured out
how to view them. If not, let me know.
