[Dixielandjazz] Wheel Chair Seating

As Judie says, there are ways to work it out. We play a fair amount of
concerts at auditoriums in retirement homes. In a typical audience of 200
there would be twenty or so.

Usually what is done is that those in wheel chairs are placed on the outside
ends of the seating rows. Some in the first row, some in rows further behind
depending upon when they arrived since there are no reservations.

It works just fine making it easy if they want to dance. They are easily
wheeled to the dance floor and twirled around by their dance partner.

What the hell is the problem with those "festivals" that can't seem to get
it done in similar fashion? It is simple enough to accomplish.

Cheers,
