Wasn't Jerry Van Dyke a banjo player in the OKOM mode?

Alright, you ol' timers, listen up. It was no doubt a studio band, but
they sound like they really know what they're doing:

Does anyone know who played the dixieland-style music for the soundtrack

MY MOTHER THE CAR ???

Unique note: This show's one season was on the air during my FIRST YEAR

of life, but I swear I have the clearest memory of seeing Jerry Van Dyke

drive down the road in that car, talking to it, and being talked to by
it -- ahem -- her, during what had to be its first and only official
run, as my memory of it is on the old 4-legger, oval-screened B&W that
got replaced very early on in my wee life...,
