[Dixielandjazz] Listening to Smooth Jazz

Pat Cooke asked about what to listen for in smooth jazz.
My 2 cents is to go back to the beginning and gather up some Grover
Washington music from the 1970s. That plus, get Kenny G's latest Christmas
CD. (2005) Both will surprise you with their jazz feel.
Perhaps the more recent players who copy it, are not doing it so well?
Kenny G? Heck he sold 75 million records and has made millions of fans happy
with what he does. What is wrong with that?
Pops did the same thing, though Kenny G is no Louis A.
