>From a NY Times article by Jon Pareles, their chief pop music critic:
Lollapalooza is a three day music festival in a Chicago Park. Not OKOM, but
note the below snip about how "inclusive" they are. Note also the kiddie
stage. Perhaps this is why it is so well attended?

Cheers,
Steve

"For the resurrection of its brand name, Lollapalooza has turned itself
inside out. It's a three-day only-in-Chicago event, not a tour; it's broadly
inclusive rather than hipster-selective. And unlike its early-1990's
version, which were noisy, unabashed, pierced, tattoo, trash-talking freak
shows ‹ smart and memorable ones ‹ Lollapalooza is no longer out to startle
or outrage anyone. Now, it just plans to entertain, with representatives of
nominally alternative styles from indie-rock to hip-hop, jam bands to funk.
How friendly is it? Well, there's one stage devoted to kiddie entertainment
every afternoon."
