Many great composers of the 1930s, '40s, and '50s contributed to the body of
music called "The Great American Songbook." For this performance, Larry
Kinley has selected some memorable songs from the music of the Gershwins,
Rodgers and Hart, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer and other great songwriters.
We are privileged in Cincinnati to have a talent of the caliber of Larry
Kinley, one of the great interpreters of these songs. It is a real treat to
hear straightforward, honest lyrics delivered by a superb baritone voice.
Larry has been delivering strong performances of these tunes for many years
at various venues around Cincinnati. For this appearance, Larry will bring
together some of his old friends who have worked with him over the years.
Master of the piano, Frank Vincent, has enjoyed a large regional following
and is joined for this concert by Kenny Poole - guitar, Lou Lausche - bass,
and Mike Meloy - drums. These are standout musicians, selected from the
extraordinary talent base we enjoy here in Cincinnati.
This evening will be a memorable event - don't miss it!
