Good luck guys - A fair 4 piece band might go for it but not a large enough 
band to do the job would take it.  With kids spending huge money on proms I 
can't believe that they would only spend $500 on a band but then again it 
might be a very small school or they are hoping someone will cut them a 
break.

My prom (1957) had a 10 piece band in red tuxes who were pretty good and as 
I recall we spent about $500 then.
