I think that this might be a little unfair. If the person was a citizen,
the paperwork would be much less and probably a shoo in. People hate to
stand in line and getting the process speeded up is the goal. Getting
people out of lines and shortening up the existing ones seems smart which
could actually shorten the time that the non citizen has to spend in line
too. There should be some perks for the citizen of any country vs. a non
citizen.
When I was in the New York Air terminal there was an expedited line for
military. I suppose that some would think that was unfair too but I think
that it shortened the line that I had to stand in. They had their paperwork
in order and I'D's ready and breezed right through. Not so in the civilian
line as people searched for their passports and tickets and asked lots of
questions and needed interpreters. Why hold those guys up with all that
other nonsense? Maybe it's not fair but it does make the lines move faster
at least for them.
France is France what can I say?
