Clevedon Jazz Club's meet next on Thursday 13 April 2006 with THE LIBERTY STREET JAZZ BAND on their second visit to the Walton Park Hotel venue for some Traditional Jazz at its Swinging Best - in Welsh style. The Band was formed in 1993 with members from other local well known Welsh bands and has since gone from strength to strength playing driving, swinging jazz drawn from a vast repertoire.

In addition to their regular local Jazz venues, The Liberty Street Jazz Band have appeared several times in St. David's Hall, Cardiff and at the BBC Llandaff, and have guested more than once on the Welsh Current Affairs Programme 'Heno'. Their music has also been regularly broadcast on BBC Wales Jazz Connection. They are a regular attraction on the New Orleans Riverboat at Henley on Thames and have appeared at the prestigious Bude Jazz Festival for several years. They were the only traditional jazz band to be invited to play at the Coleraine Milk Cup Festival in Northern Ireland.

The members of the band are Marcus Bridgeman on trumpet, flugelhorn and cornet; Dr. John Davies on clarinet, soprano and alto saxophone; Davey Simmons on trombone and keyboards; Dewi Peters on banjo; John 'Sticks' Cole on drums and Derek Newton on bass and sousaphone.

Don't forget it's Easter! And 'Hot Cross Buns' will be served!
