Rebecca asks regarding the N.O. benefit CD:

Rebecca,

The AZ Classic Jazz Society is sponsoring this CD. I am sure that Joe
Hopkins, VP, who is a member of DJML, can answer your question.

You may also write to Barker Hickox who owns the record company doing the
CD, Barker4258 at aol.com

The Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society has established a fund for N.O.
musicians. We raised almost $900 at our last meting. It has not yet been
decided exactly where the moneys will go but, it will go to needy N.O.
musicians. I am going to suggest to the next board meeting that an adhok
committee be set up to look into the matter and make a suggestion.

It may go to one of the organizations already set up, or it may go directly
to one or more musicians.

Last night there was a benefit concert in Sacramento by Bonerama.
While I could not attend as I had a gig, I heard through the grapevine that
a large amount of money was collected. I will report back to DJML on this.
