whole way of playing.  I
could never figure it out because of course, Bill sounded nothing like Bix.
But, in some way, Bix was a heavy influence on Bill.

Bob - listen to Wild Bill's phrasing - there's a lot of Bix in there.
And - did you know that Bix was very loud?
I have that from a close friend of Max Kaminsky who heard Bix a number of
times.
