Here is a way to beat the DJs and Karaoke gang at their own game, at 
least it seems to be working in the  Portland, Oregon area.

 456 N State St, Downtown Lake Oswego
 Thursday November 10 (tonight)
 Music starts at 9:15 pm

  Come down and sing with a live band one or more of the 300+ classic 
rock and pop songs the Karaoke From Hell band plays!

 Here's the deal:

 o Choose one (or more) of the 300+ on the list
 o Sign up for the song (like you would in regular karaoke)
  o When your turn to sing comes, you are given a sheet with the lyrics 
and you sing while the band plays.
  o The MC is always there to make sure things go smoothly and act as 
the "bouncing ball", keeping you on track to avoid train wrecks.
  o It's like being the lead singer in a band, except you don't have to 
go to practice twice a week to finally get up in front of people. All 
you have to to is sign up!

  Come check it out. If you have never seen Karaoke From Hell, you have 
never seen anything like this. Seriously. If you are a good singer, 
trust me, you will want to check this out. Regular karaoke will seem 
boring after this.
