Yo! I resent that remark!!! While some may think I have failed as a
trumpet (cornet) player, I worked steadily and paid the bills for half a
century.
I took up valve trombone as a double, and found I liked to play it, and
a sampling of the Sons of Bix recordings would show that I got around
well enough
to avoid having Tom Pletcher or Randy Rhinehart stumble over my tubing.
So, there, too, take that I say, and in closing I have just six words to
say -- Brad Gowens, Bob Evaldesen, and Bob Brookmeyer.

large boney hands and very bad breath) Ingle
