[Dixielandjazz] Chuck McLain

Chuck was also a good friend of mine. He was an enthusiastic advocate of  
trad jazz and always offered his pastoral love to those in need.
 
He had that treasured ability to connect with the audience when he sang or  
played his trombone and did so with a sense of humor.
 
Some of you who attended the Santa Rosa festival over Labor Day might  
remember Chuck dancing to the music of the Paramount Jazz Band. Jeff Hughes  
dedicated a few tunes to Chuck and his dancing partner, Sue.
 
Even though exhausted and fighting the pain of cancer, Chuck danced  
effortlessly.
