Seems to me, as a former budget analyst, that the figures given - which
clearly support the elimination of CalExpo - aren't the whole picture. I have to
wonder whether the powers-that-be took into consideration the revenue per
seat of the Cal Expo venues.
600 RV spaces, average 2 people each, times $90 per all event badge is
$108,000. A lot of them won't come without CalExpo. They also pay rent and
utilities, which I assume is income to the Jubilee.
Plus, that 25% of the gross from the great Calexpo food concessions,
mostly gone when hotel venues are substituted.
The Thursday night Calexpo concert party probably brings in a few bucks.
How about it, Bob Ringwald?
Just wondering. I strongly support the steps that the new STJS Jubilee
management has taken to cut costs and get the Jubilee back in the black.
