[Dixielandjazz] Sacramento Jazz Jubilee To Leave Cal Expo In 2006

Seems to me, as a former budget analyst, that the  figures given - which 
clearly support the elimination of CalExpo - aren't the  whole picture.  I have to 
wonder whether the powers-that-be took into  consideration the revenue per 
seat of the Cal Expo   venues.
 
600 RV spaces, average 2 people each, times $90 per  all event badge is 
$108,000.  A lot of them won't come without CalExpo.  They also pay rent and 
utilities, which I assume is income to the  Jubilee.
 
Plus, that 25% of the gross from the great   Calexpo food concessions,  
mostly gone when hotel venues are  substituted.
 
The Thursday night Calexpo concert party probably  brings in a few bucks.
 
How about it, Bob Ringwald?
 
Just wondering.  I strongly support the steps  that the new STJS Jubilee 
management has taken to cut costs and get the Jubilee  back in the black.
