I have never heard of "Bass Noodles" but there is a book called "Basic 
Rhythms and the Art of Jazz Improvisation", by Joe Tarto. It is 
sometimes still available via
http://www.charlescolin.com/descript.htm   but every time I try to 
order it they are "out of stock"
