During the shooting of "The Big Fish" here in the Montgomery area in
2003, I got a call to be the drummer in a circus band scene. At most
we'd mime the music but they wanted authentic-looking motions. When I
found out that this was "extra" pay at about $20 a day and you got up
at 5:30 am and hung out all day for five days, I said, "Er, no." It
turns out that the drummer was pretty clearly seen in the movie but I
don't regret missing my 2 minutes of fame.
