Listmates,

I need info about the origin of two tunes:

1. Sweet Fields. This tune was recorded by Eureka Brass Band in 1955. It has
been connected to the song There is a Land Of Pure Delight with its third
verse "Sweet fields beyond the swelling flood stand dressed in living
green..." However, none of the four known melodies used to that hymn has any
resemblance to the New Orleans tune.

2. First Choice. Was this tune composed by Paul Barbarin or John Brunious?

Thanks for your help
