Try to catch the Kenny Ball JB version of High Society from the 60's.  TERRIFIC clarinet with bonus trpt/clar duet on a couple of choruses!!!  One of the best recordings of this tune, in my opinion as a lowly piano player.  

As far as "obligato" goes, I'll defer to the technicians and just listen, thank you!
