If you want to meld both the "South" and the "North" together, just play the
pick ups and the first measures of "Dixie" over the first two measures of
"Battle Hymn of The Republic" when playing that song, or vice versa. Perfect
fit. Or split the front line for those two bars, some playing Dixie, some
playing Battle Hymn.

Makes the politically correct point for either side, too :-) VBG.
