[Dixielandjazz] San Francisco Easter Parade

It was rather strange - Union Street is probably the most "Yuppie" of
any neighborhood in San Francisco - I walked around before the parade
seeing nothing but well dressed young couples pushing baby carriages or
herding their young'ns to the pony ride or juggling acts - very little
of the typical San Francisco street types (maybe they were all over
across town at Delores Park for the "Hunky Jesus Contest...")

Anyway, the band was at the very end of the parade, well received and
the comments were quite favorable. It started raining quite hard just
as we finished so we did not stick around too long. I noticed a lot of
people singing along with the songs we played - there is still some
general recognition of traditional jazz in SF decades after Turk and
Lu!
