I lived in Richmond (just north of Berkeley) in those years - I would 
ride my bike or take the bus to the UC campus just to see what was 
happening in the protests.

Musically, I was very active in my High School Pep Band and Stage 
(Jazz) Band- hard to be a "School Spirit/bando" guy during the powerful 
changes  going on just next door!
