Thursday 24 March at Clevedon Jazz Club's Walton Park venue will be looked back on as one of the year's highlights within a highlight year. The second of the Club's international evenings introduces one of the USA's great multi-instrumentalists - Jim Mailhack - who, with the audience, will be treated to a Hot Cross Bun.

Jim Maihack is best known in the Uk for his long association with Turk Murphy. He plays most instruments as he demonstrated on his CD "Never Mind I'll Do It Myself". On this tour, he'll be concentrating on playing trombone but don't be surprised if he steals someone else's instrument for the occasional number.

For his 2005 tour Jim has tempted a selection of Dave Moorwood's Big Bear Stompers out of 6 years in hibernation to guest with. The Big Bear Stompers, strongly influenced by the style of Lu Watters, achieved great popularity on the festival and club circuit during the 1990's. The line-up with Jim for his Clevedon appearance will be Tony Davis on trumpet, Mike Willson reeds, Dave Moorwood on banjo, Perry Lock on piano, Geoff Hull on tuba and, Judy Eames performing the odd vocal number.

The doors at Clevedon Jazz Club's Walton Park Hotel venue open at 8pm, the music starts at 8.30pm and its £6-50 'on the door' - members get a substantial discount.
