[Dixielandjazz] Beneke & Klink Sax solo from "In The Mood"

You have no argument about any of that.  It is a "dated" solo but then again
so is the tune.  When guys substitute a jazz solo and they play it in a
style that doesn't fit such as Bebop or some of the so called contemporary
styles I would rather have the written solos  with little modification.

because they couldn't record it on the records of the time.

I have played several arrangements where there are extended jazz (closer to
blues) solos.  The one I play most often has trombone and tenor trading 4's
for 32 bars and no written solos.
