Harry Souchon was Doc's brother--as gentle and quiet as Doc was
boisterous and brash (in his curmudgeonly way). Though Doc (who was my
grandmother's physician) was a surgeon, photo & record collector,
historian, writer, editdor, and guitarist, Harry (a lawyer) was also
influential as prez of the N.O. Jazz Club for many years, a
behind-the-scenes guy who got a lot of things done--truly a wonderful
man.

The original theme song of the Sunday jazz show was, I believe, "Congo
Square," a soulful minor key blues played by a combo lead by Johnny
Wiggs (with Lester Bouchon on clarinet, Armand Hug on piano, Freddie
King on drums, and others) for New Orleans label. The flip side,
"Bourbon Street Bounce" by Harvey Blackstone (Orin's brother), was a
hit record locally in the late forties.
