I agree with Larry; however, I am a trumpet player who decided (let's not go there) to take up tenor sax in my mid-thirties. I had a patient ex-bandsman who taught me the fingering, but when it came to vibrato, he just laughed incessantly, and said mine was like "chewing 'nanners", which is Southern for chewing bananas.

I got the fingering quickly - the vibrato is another story altogether...
