[Dixielandjazz] The Art of Solo Ukulele

Listmates,

For those of you really interested in what can be accomplished on a ukulele,
obtain and listen to the CD entitled: The Art of Solo Ukulele." It has
selections by four masters of the instrument, each with a different style.

The selections include the usual Hawaiian stuff, but also God Bless America,
The Way You Look Tonight, I'll Take Romance, Something (Beetles), Jesu, Joy
of Man's Desiring and All the Things You Are. Benny Chong, a jazz guitarist
by trade, does some great jazz licks on several of the tunes. So good, in
fact, you would swear you are listening to a jazz guitar.

I can't locate a number on the insert, but the title indicates it's "From
the Honolulu Academy of Arts Na Mele O Hawai'i Concert Series."  If I
remember correctly, I read a short review of this CD on an airplane coming
back from Hawaii, and searched for it on the internet.
