Thanks Robert,
I too once thought that I would remember everything I had in my 60 year-old
specialised classic jazz and blues, swing, hot dance and nostalgia record
collection.
However, with about 800 78s still left (mainly unissued on LP or CD); approx
3500 LPs and 4000 (and still climbing) CDs, I finally gave up.
Fortunately most of them are 'catalogued' by being entered in discographies.
It usually only takes a minute or two to locate most things.
Some, unfortunately, still defy referencing.
Like the numerous el-cheapo Louis Armstrong LP and CD ad-hoc compilations.
