>From the best that I can make out certain frequency bands were put on one
channel and the rest on the other, giving a simulated stereo effect that was
just plain bad. I have a Capitol LP of some Stan Kenton stuff where the
vocals come from both tracks so it sounds as if the singers are singing
duets (both taking the melody) with themselves. That's more terrible than
most of them I have.
