Thanks for the info on Floyd Levin. Pushing my luck--does anyone have 
phone and/or email on Marc H. Miller, who edited the excellent 1994 
volume "Louis Armstong: A Cultural Legacy" volume and wrote a fine 
chapter that included material on the statue?

To reach really far, I'm curious about a bust of Louis I bought at a 
flea circus, 10" by 8". On the bottom, it's labeled "made in China" but 
I.D.'d as part of a "Jazz Greats" series, trade mark & copyright 1996 
by The Louis Armstrong Foundation, Inc., licensee Enesco Corporation, 
#271268.  I wasn't that fond of the image of Louis at first but I've 
grown to like it.
