[Dixielandjazz] politically correct?

Don was booked to play the grand opening of Busch Stadium in St. Louis in 
1966 on national television with a big band.  The first song was to have 
been  "Darktown Strutter's Ball" .  For some reason he could never explain, 
Don played the first few bars of "Dixie" which was not a song played in St. 
Louis in those years.  Of course he corrected the error but he said it 
caused quite an uproar with the union.
