I count myself very lucky to have gone to the Stan Kenton School of
Bandleading, "life on the Road"
they did not write a book to teachus how to do all those things, we just went
out there and dealt with it every day. Some of us still do, it is very
difficult to say the least but very rewarding when it all works.
Stan was all those things and probably more,
I would be happy if my guys said even half those things about me when I am
gone.
Musical content:
" Yes Talk about me when I am gone" but only tell the good things, :))
Cheers,
Tom Wiggins
I remember Shelly as being a great guy as well, and always loved his
playing too, everytime I got a chance to hear him. I used to catch Stan at
Keystone Korner in San Francisco, Ca. and once in a while at a concert.
