Bill Haesler and Phil O'Rourke both replied privately, and both had the
correct answers. (Sorry, Phil, but Bill's answer was about 2 minutes
earlier.)

Apparently, the Aussies are far more knowledgable about our American art
form than we are. Or maybe they're just faster responders?

I'll continue to sit on the answers until tomorrow.

Pursuant to some recent threads, these are lifted from "Jersey Jazz," the
monthly mag from the NJJS:

1. What is the flip side of Tommy Dorsey's 78 rpm Victor original
recording of "Stardust"?

2. What was the first big hit for Capital Records?

Answers will be posted tomorrow, if Bill Haessler doesn't ace these in
about 5 seconds.
