Maybe his unemployment ran out from his last gig and needed work 
credits to reinstate them, :))

Or maybe he was having an affair with the daughter and got caught by 
the mother. :))

Remember musicians spend 90 % of their careers trying to get a gig and 
the other 10% trying to get fired.  :))
