HI FOLKS:

THIS GIG WAS SCORED BY KIMBERLY SCHAFFER, WHO OBVIOUSLY KNOWS HOW TO DO
IT, WAY TO GO KIMBERLY.

She asked me to forward this on to the list since her posts don't seem
to be getting thru.

Happy to do so : Now if all you Fellas had known this was a Strip
Club you would have fallen all over yourselves to get the gig, and some
of you leering lurchers would have paid them to let you play no doubt.
:)) The ad did not say such, but heads up Kimberly at least took the
shot at contacting them.

Have a blast Kimberly and and show them all what a night of real Sin
and Debauchery is all about. :))

Cheers,

Tom Wiggins

Would you post this for me? It looks like my postings aren't getting
through...

As an FYI, Pete met with the nudie bar owner who was a very nice guy
and after explaining about
working as a professional musician and whipping out a spreadsheet with
union numbers on it, the guy
decided to pony up the money for an okay fee for a quartet to play on
New Years Eve - union wages plus
a little something something plus a bandleader fee plus free steak
dinners. (I hope no free lap dances!)

The lesson is, just because the money posted is low, maybe it's just a
misperception by the client. A
little education went a long way here.

The guys are going to have a good time, and hey, it's better than
driving 5 hours to a Casino in the middle
of nowhere and staying in a Best Western and being ignored as
background music by drunk polyester wearing patrons.

Some New Years Eves are better than others.

Although one drummer couldn't make it because his wife was not okay
with it. So, oh well, I figure that jazz
developed in houses of ill repute, and a strip club is as close to a
house of ill repute as you can get nowadays
so it doesn't bother me in the least. Strippers gotta eat too!!
