[Dixielandjazz] Mr. T's Remembered in Vernon, Texas

My husband was also born in Vernon, Texas in August....1939.  He has always
been an avid Dixieland Jazz fan and tells everyone he is from the same town
as Jack Teagarden.  HOWEVER the only mention of Mr T. in that town is at the
Red River Museum.  The average person on the street can not tell you who
Jack Teagarden is.  That is SAD!  

What is that saying about a prophet without honor in his own town???
