The guitarist on Ory's August 9th 1947 recording of 'Savoy Blues' was another great jazz guitarist, viz. Arthur 'Bud' Scott, but the trumpet player was Andrew Blakeney.
Bud Scott was born in New Orleans in 1890 and died in Los Angeles in 1949.
He was 15 years old when he played first with John Robichaux and Freddie Keppard. He left for New York in 1913 where he played violin in a theatre orchestra until he left for Chicago where he played with King Oliver. He also played with Johnny Dodds, Richard M. Jones, and Jimmy Blythe. After 1927 he played with Erskine Tate, Dave Peyton, and Jimmy Noone. He alos played with Mutt Carey and also has his own trio. From 1944 until his death he played with Kid Ory in Los Angeles.
Dr Luis, this might be interesting - he was in the film 'New Orleans' together with Louis Armstrong in 1946.

Cheers
