[Dixielandjazz] Andre Previn ..... classics to jazz

Bob Ringwald found another pianist.
In my naivety I used to think that Previn had made the transition from Jazz
to the classical world!

I wonder if it is easier to make the change on some instruments than others?
I do know one or two army trumpeters turned jazzmen and they seem to produce
a  tone that distinguishes them from those who played jazz from the
outset.....  in the UK that is.
