[Dixielandjazz] C Melody Sax and the Eb Alto sax

  Lester was influenced by Tram as well as Jimmy Dorsey. It is said by 
those close to him, that he kept a record of "Singin' The Blues" in his 
case at all times. Could the C Melody have worked in jazz beyond the 
early jazz period with different mouthpieces and the like?
