Dear Luis:

Replace the drums with a washboard?

If you insist on doing that, perhaps you might investigate the "air"
washboards. They are much better that normal washboards. Very difficult to
visualize, however. :-) VBG. (Just Kidding)

Or, if there are any Zydeco bands in Portugal, check out the chest protector
type washboard. Very effective when used by female players. (Not kidding)
