I  totally agree. I always felt that Trummy was a better suited sideman
for  Louie than Teagarden. Trummy's style was more simple and it  contrasted
really well with Louis.

I got to play with Trummy a few times in Hawaii, and he was a JOY to play  
with.  Not only simple, but very musical!  He was also a wonderful  gentleman.
