[Dixielandjazz] Welsh Influences in early Jazz

Hi All,
 
Apart from Dill Jones the Welsh pianist who was greatly successful in New  
York in the 1970/80's and played a range of jazz styles, were there  any early 
jazz influences from Wales? We know that New Orleans was the  melting pot of so 
many cultures and that those different cultures gave something  to early jazz 
either in tune style or players, but was Wales represented in that  mix?
