I... AM...SO... EXCITED........Somebody is coming to Rosheschter and Wants
to Hear Our Kind Of Music.....!!!

You can catch two gigs of the Smugtown Stompers: On Monday, April 25 we are
at the Fairport Village Inn on 103 North Main Street, Fairport...just north
of the railroad tracks (yes we're the ones that play on the other side of the
tracks). Time is 7-9:30PM and phone number is 388-0112 (Reservations almost
essential).

On Tuesday, May 10 we are the Oatka Restaurant in Scottsville at 25 Main
Street (Opposite the library). Time again is 7-9:30PM and phone number is
889-7350. Main Street becomes Scottsville Road as it approaches the City and is
immediately adjacent to the Genesse River at Jefferson Road and the Ballantyne
Bridge (These will be landmarks well-known to locals.). If you decide to
include a large party of people, the Oatka is recommended since it is bigger
and all tables are in the same room as the band. The seating arrangement at
the Village Inn is more convoluted.

Other jazz events can be found at our local jazz radio station, WGMC-FM 90.1
MHz. _http://www.jazz901.org/index.cfm?content=jazzEvents_

Also check _http://artsrochester.hosted.webevent.com/cgi-bin/webevent.cgi_
(http://artsrochester.hosted.webevent.com/cgi-bin/webevent.cgi) for events of
all kinds.

You can also hear daily annoucements of musical events on WXXI-FM 91.5 MHz
in the early morning program (6-9AM) hosted by Simon Pontin.

Worthy for big band fans is Gap Mangione who appears at the Woodcliff
Restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays. _http://www.gapmangione.com/_
(http://www.gapmangione.com/) He is an institution in this neck of the woods.
