Dear Craig,
A bit late with answers to this one.
Too much socialising over the last few days!

"My Lovie Lee" (Razoff-Waller). Recorded by New Orleans Jazz Band [issued as
by Dixie Jazz Band] on 23 Oct 1924. Reissued on Jazz Oracle CD BDW 8033.

"Lovey Lee" (Frank Signorelli- Phil Napoleon). Recorded by Original Memphis
Five on 16 Aug 1927. Reissued on Historical (HLP-16. Mx E24242) and IAJRC
(26 - as "Lovely Lee". Same mx E24242) LPs. Also on Jazz Archive CD No. 148.
Mx 24241). I have checked and they are different.

"Lovie Lee". Composed Andy Razaf and Thomas Waller and copyrighted on 31
March 1928.
Never recorded by Fats or Razaf. Or any one else, other than the above
version, so far as I can find.

I have the above LPs and CDs.
"(My) Lovie Lee" and "Lovey Lee" are different tunes.

No vocals on any of the above recordings.
Does anyone have the sheet music?
Maybe the lyrics will give a clue as to who 'Lovie Lee' was.
A 1920s theatre/film personality perhaps? Although too early to be the
Chicago blues pianist who was associated with Muddy Waters.

I do not know of any 'revivalist' bands playing either song.
Kind regards,
Bill.
