Hi Russ:   You say he pays $15,000.00 a year for a billiard parlor/cafe with 
music onthe weekends only, something seems terribly wrong here even for the 
ASCAP & BMI SHARKS, if this is true he really needs to find a better lawyer to 
back and fight them.

Sounds to me like somebody did a number on him, three times, $1,500.00 would 
be more realistic if they had actually signed him up.

And once you agree to sign up with one of them you can bet the other two will 
come knocking on your door with their hand out.   Yes the reps do talke to 
each other, especially when they find a live one who does not fight back  or 
resist them.  

It's like taking candy from a baby for those sharks.
