That reminds me of the story of the band that was getting ready to play for
a wedding reception. The father of the bride approaches the leader and tells
him his brother - "a great tenor" - wants to sing a song with the band, in
particular, he wants to sing "Life is just a bowl of cherries". But he
wants it in the key of Bb, and he wants it played in 5/4 time.
The leader tells him they can do it, no problem.
Then the party starts and this big guy walks up to the bandstand and tells
the leader he's the bride's uncle and he's going to sing "Life is just a
bowl of cherries" but he wants to sing it in Bb and 5/4 time.
"No problem", says the bandleader, and they start the song. When the man
approached the mic, he began to sing,
"Life is just a bowl of f___ing cherries..."
