Question: "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"

Answer:   "Practice man, practice."

IMO being a very good, or even excellent player of music in all of its forms
is directly proportional to the amount of time spent playing and studying
and practicing.

There is no substitute for time on the job at gigs, and/or time in the
woodshed practicing.
